ABOUT CAPTAIN JOE
Captain Joe is available to help you become confident with operating your new-to-you vessel.
Joe is a USCG 100-Ton Near-Shore Master Captain with over 60 years of experience on both power and sailboats of every size and shape.
He holds certifications in Advanced CPR, First Aid, and AED for adults and children, and is a PADI Advanced Open-Water Diver.
Joe is also a NY State Parks and Recreation Public Vessel Joint Pilot and Engineer.
Joe and his wife live and travel aboard their Grand Banks 46 Heritage Classic, which is based in Windmill Harbour on Hilton Head Island, SC.
They are members of the South Carolina Yacht Club.
TRAINING
We use a building-block approach to training that has proven to be efficient and highly effective, focusing on Captain and First Mate skills and communication.

Once we have a contract, we'll provide you with guidance to get started with training before we even get to your boat. This will make your onboard experience more efficient and effective.
We also provide a complimentary, confidential review of your boat survey.
In a pre-purchase scenario, this has the potential to save you thousands of dollars. It also allows us to learn some of the unique features and issues we might encounter.
DELIVERY/RELOCATION
If you need help getting your boat from one place to another (with or without you onboard), Captain Joe is available to help.
Sometimes life gets in the way of getting your boat to a particular spot in time. He can move the boat with the assistance of a mate or help you along the way.
You may also just need the comfort of having someone experienced onboard to help with challenging waters where you have limited experience.
We have experience on the Great Lakes, the entire Atlantic Coast and ICW, the Bahamas, the Gulf of America, and the Great Loop.

Joe has joined Captain Sam Crouse as a member of the What Yacht to Do community!
Sam and Rev have completed America's Great Loop multiple times, and have amassed a wealth of experience, and made it available to you!
